IT Protective Security Services Sdn Bhd (ITPSS) launched its incident management system, SPHERE, this afternoon at The Empire Hotel and Country Club. The C4i (command, control, communications, computers and intelligence) system enables first response agencies to share critical incident information and collaborate in incident response initiatives.

The ceremony was attended by guests from various government departments and agencies. The guest of honour was Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs. Present to welcome the guest of honour were Hamdan Hj Abu Bakar, Chairman of ITPSS and Shamsul Bahri Haji Kamis, Chief Executive Officer of ITPSS.

The official launch was followed by a video presentation of SPHERE, which highlighted the various features of the system. Live demonstrations were also held during the event, where guests were able to engage in a more in-depth discussion and see the capabilities of SPHERE first-hand.

Developed as a suite of four applications, and designed to promote efficient monitoring, analysis, response and investigation, SPHERE provides records of incidents, in addition to giving users access to the status of incident response related operations.

Aimed at first response agencies, SPHERE is a customized software solution that allows decision makers to access reliable real-time information as well as enhanced incident management by integrating vital first response systems. The use of SPHERE will ensure smooth coordination and disaster management capabilities as well as up-to-date information handling between all agencies involved.
